Expectations
Last week students reflected on and shared their expectations of each other, myself, and the class. They were very insightful and to the point--a recipe for success. Below are the links to the comments from each class. I'm look forward to facilitating and living up to those expectations this year and welcome your feedback as we the year continues. These are living documents and will be revisited and updated as necessary.

- If you haven't already, email me. Instructions are in the previous post below.
- Create a CONCEPT MAP for SIMPLE MACHINES:
- Brain Dump - write down any and all words having to do with motion that come to mind.
- Categorize - organize those words into groups, what obvious collections do you see.
- Map - Setup your basic layout, categories near the main topic, details farther out.
- Connections - connect separate words with lines and short phrases across categories. These are the most important.
Not sure how to make a concept map? run out of time in class before we could run through this example? Check out this screencast from E period: http://somup.com/cIQfqBVh0

WELCOME to the BLOG
This blog will serve as a window for parents and the community to know what is going on here in Pricinciples of Enginering (POE). We will also utilize It's Learning and Canvas, a more comprehensive class website, but more on that later.
